Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Closed all College recognized holidays.

Payment: The store accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Student OneCard, checks, and cash.

Selected items are available through the Computer Stores' online store. The Computer Store carries many more items than are listed on the website. Phone orders and/or questions about items are gladly received.

Options for placing an order:

Online Computer Store: Select your item(s) and fill your shopping basket. All online transactions are secure and must be paid for with a credit card. American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover accepted.

Mail or Fax: Orders accepted by fax or mail. Print your completed order or a form from the website and fax to 413-585-2623. If you prefer to mail your order, please print out your completed order form and send it by regular mail to the Smith College Computer Store via the address below.

Note: Please contact the Smith College Computer Store at 413-585-3027 or cstore@smith.edu before returning merchandise. You will be provided an RA# ( return merchandise authorization number) as well as shipping instructions.

Secure Site/Privacy Policy : Smith College Policies

Shipping and Delivery Information:

Continental U.S. Shipments: All orders are shipped via UPS Ground unless otherwise specified. Shipping and handling rates are based on total weight of shipment. Please allow 7-10 business days for ground delivery. Customers will be provided tracking information via email once order is in transit. (Customers will be contacted by the Computer Store in the event of a delay.) Valid U.S. address required, no PO Box. No shipments Saturdays, Sundays or major holidays.

International Shipments:

The Computer Store is prohibited by contracts with its vendors from shipping items out of the country.

Merchandise Return Policy:

Unopened Software: Current versions of unopened software may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Smith College Computer Store will not accept any returns on open box software. Refunds are issued based on form of payment. If a credit card or Smith OneCard was used at the time of purchase, refunds will be issued to that same card. If cash or check was used, the refund will be issued by the college in the form of a check; allow 10-14 days to receive the check.

Defective Software: Defective software will be exchanged for the same title and version within 30 days of purchase.

Unopened Hardware: Unopened hardware may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Smith College Computer Store will not accept any returns on open boxes of hardware. Refunds are issued based on form of payment. If a credit card or Smith OneCard was used at the time of purchase, refunds will be issued to that same card. If cash or check was used, the refund will be issued by the college in the form of a check; allow 10-14 days to receive the check.

Defective Hardware: All hardware deemed defective by Tech Services within 15 days of purchase will be repaired or replaced according to manufacturer's warranty. After 15 days all defective hardware will be repaired under the manufacturer's warranty.

Printer Ink/Toner Cartridges: Unopened printer ink/toner cartridges may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. OPENED PRINTER INK/TONER IS NON-RETURNABLE/REFUNDABLE.

Warranty:

All equipment sold by the Smith College Computer Store is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Service and Support:

Smith College Technical Services* is an authorized Service Center for both Dell and Apple computers. They are conveniently located on campus in Stoddard Hall 203.

ITS Technical Services no longer repairs any computer that was not purchased at the Smith College Computer Store. We are continuing to perform authorized service on Dell and Apple computers purchased at Smith by Smith College students, staff, and faculty and to serve as a shipping depot for Smith-purchased computers that must be repaired by the manufacturer.

*Smith College Technical Services is only available to current members of the Smith College community.

Information Collected

Smith College collects certain personally identifiable information when you make an online payment. This information may include your name, e-mail address, and phone number. We also keep a record of information on our server logs from your browser. Smith College does not retain or store bank account numbers.

How Information is Used

Smith College uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Smith College normally will not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information, but reserves the right to do so in order to identify a user when we feel this is necessary to enforce compliance with our internal policies, Terms of Use, or to protect our service, site, employees or others.
